For ceramic lovers, a charming large glazed stoneware pot with the owl-shaped stamp, the emblematic mark of the ratilly workshop (burgundy), used by jeanne and norbert pierlot to authenticate their pieces. Nice mix of colors and materials with a partially glazed stoneware pot. The château de ratilly, located in the yonne, became in the 1950s a center of ceramic creation under the impetus of jeanne and norbert pierlot, important figures in the revival of artisanal pottery. Their production is influenced by medieval and japanese techniques, with simple, utilitarian shapes and sober glazes (often brown, celadon, white, blue-gray or black). Good condition, a visible hairline crack. Diameter: 16 cms. Height: 8 cms. I also have in my shop the same style of pot in 10 cms diameter.
