Dating from the time of the shah around 1950. Signed by the master weaver “bahrami” in his cartridge. Qom rugs are among the most impressive and prized examples of Persian craftsmanship throughout the world. At qom, all rugs are made using the finest raw materials. Qom silk is one of the highest quality in the world. The wool, known as kork wool, is of excellent quality and very shiny. On its navy blue field, an idyllic floral landscape animated by the delicate central medallion in an ivory background. The arabesques, the floral motifs, echoed in the main border give this rug a lightness as well as a finesse in its design which takes us into an exclusive work of oriental art. Dimensions: 162x105 cm with fringes. Condition: Good, small wear in the selvedge (border) on one side.
