Games Table, called Mouchoir, in Blond Mahogany – 1930

Beautiful solid mahogany table decorated with rosewood inlays with tissue top that transforms into a games table. In the belt, we find a drawer inlaid with a lemon tree and ebony fillet surrounded by rosewood. Two elegant original drop handles allow opening. This table rests on four sheathed legs inlaid with lemon fillets which end in sabots and casters. In the lower part, this small piece of furniture has a raised and recessed spacer shelf, bringing together the legs. The top of this table is made up of four triangles inlaid with small lemon tree fillets and bordered with rosewood. The perimeter is molded with ogee. By pivoting the top slightly, the end of a triangle is raised using a pin, allowing the table to be opened. This is done on inlaid brass hinges visible from the inside. In each of the four elements we find a circular cavity for placing pawns.
