This agency was purchased in 2023 from the first owners in eindhoven, the netherlands. Until the beginning of this year, it was part of a complete mid century furniture consisting of high-end american and english furniture. The first owners bought the agency in america and moved it to england in the 60s and eventually to the netherlands, where they started working. The furniture has always been handled carefully, the lady of the house pointed out to everyone all these years, how precious the pieces in the interior had been. The desk consists of a construction of walnut wood and has 4 drawers. 3 of them are of the same size, 1 is extra deep and fully extendable, they are also equipped with beautifully finished wooden handles / knobs with a brass inlay, a beautiful example of refined craftsmanship. Under the top there is also a large drawer, this fifth drawer is extra wide and almost inconspicuous. On the right side is a so-called drop leaf sheet, you can easily fold this up to get even more work space. Here, too, the locks with regard to the minimum seams, are of an unprecedented high level of finish. The whole has been completely checked by our craftsmen and restored where necessary, a total restoration has deliberately not been chosen because the basis of this unique piece of furniture is still so beautiful and the patina fits perfectly.
