Pair of carved soapstone candlesticks. Handcrafted by a Kenyan artisan, 1980s. The body of the candlestick is artfully openwork, allowing for easy handling when moving or transporting. They are engraved with motifs representing fish and leaves. Signed on the reverse: "Kenya / Equator / Altitude 7747 FT. Slight scratches on the lower edge.
