Tableau post-impressionist 1940s, oil on wood by denis brunaud (1903-1985), a breton painter practising in montmartre. Still life bouquet of stylized anemones typical of the brunaud style, modest subject magnified by a harsh and solid painting with a knife and brush and by a radical framing. Palette of deep and vibrant colors. Dimensions 22.5 X 16.5 cm. Very well framed: montparnasse frame carved wood from the cream-white ceruse period in the ideal format for the enhancement of the work.
