Pair of Sothis table lamps by Ettore Fantasia and Gino Poli

Often inadvertently attributed to carlo nason and the mazzega publishing house, this pair of lamps is actually a creation of ettore fantasia and gino poly for sothis. The series has been available in suspension and table lamp in different sizes and colors. The table lamps are simplemebt placed on a split cylinder base as on this model, or on a hollow chrome plastic base in its center to receive the globe. In this way, the globe can rotate in all directions. The technique used for these globes is called pulegoso. It was created and perfected by napoleone martinuzzi in the 1920s for vases, shaped pieces and decorations. It is later taken up and spread in lighting design to soften direct light by designers such as carlo nason, toni zuccheri... Size: Height: 25cm / 9.84in. Diameter: 20cm / 7.87in.
