Beautiful old terracotta jar dating from the late 19th century, remarkable for its generously rounded shape and wide opening edged with a thick rim. Its decoration remains deliberately understated, featuring a discreet relief frieze beneath the neck. The jar shows numerous signs of age: variations in terracotta, deposits, lichens, and surface irregularities have accumulated over the years. Several old repairs are also visible around the neck, made with metal staples that hold the cracks together. Quite surprising on a terracotta piece, these staples give the jar a particularly original and unique detail designed to preserve the item rather than replace it.
