Set of eight model "31" chairs designed by Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen Møbelfabrik in the 1960s, one of the most iconic examples of Danish mid-century design. Developed within the export-oriented Danish production, the model reflects Kristiansen’s focus on compact, lightweight and ergonomic seating. The rosewood structure, with soft and balanced lines, is distinguished by refined joinery and the characteristic curved backrest integrated with the armrests. The upholstered seat, covered in cream-colored fabric, creates a refined contrast with the warmth of the wood. A balance of functionality, craftsmanship and formal clarity. Cushions newly made and reupholstered, fully removable. Good condition. May show slight signs of age. Please look carefully at the photographs. AF735.
