Magnificent chest in richly carved solid oak from the 17th century. High Renaissance/Gothic period. Opening via the top and a front flap richly carved with characters. Rests on its base. 2 wrought iron side handles to make it easier to move. No lock or key. Paneled sides. Very beautiful waxed patina. Beautiful proportions.
