The series 7™ chair is an icon in the history of modern furniture, designed by arne jacobsen in 1955. Its unique form is timeless and incredibly versatile, displaying character without dominating the eye. The chair is made from 9 layers of die-cast veneer for strength, flexibility and durability despite its slender form. It is the most popular design in the fritz hansen chair collection. The 3107 has slim yet strong tubular steel legs that complement the curved profile of the shell. The legs extend just beyond the edge of the seat, allowing the chairs to be easily stowed or stacked for storage. The base/legs are discreetly mounted on a circular disc beneath the seat, further enhancing the clean, minimal aesthetic of Jacobsen’s design.
