Bevan funnell Reprodux sideboard

A very attractive, late 20th century, yew-wood, inlaid and cross-banded, breakfront sideboard, of exceptional quality and condition. This fabulous sideboard is english made by one of the leading furniture manufacturers in todays market place, the famous 'bevan funnell', 'reprodux' of newhaven, east sussex. It is made in the traditional 'georgian style', using only the very best quality timber and finishes available. The sideboard has a spacious, flat top, with traditional straigh-cut edges, it has cross-banded, inlaid borders and attractive yew-wood graining through-out. There is a single drawer below, it has cock-beaded edges and retains it's original, solid brass, swan-neck handles, which have been re-polished. The drawer sides, edges and runners have been waxed to eliminate wear, sticking drawers and unnecessary damage. There are three cupboard sections below, which provide very useful storage space and they all retain their original removable shelves. The cupboard doors have matching cock-beaded edges with cross-banded and inlaid borders. The two smaller cupboards have bowed-fronts, they have matching cross-banded inlaid borders and they have 'dummy' drawers at the top, which are for show only. The doors have solid brass escutcheons and retain their original locks which are in full working order and they come complete with two keys. The sideboard stands on sturdy, 'georgian style', bracket feet, with a moulded border above, for added decoration. This top quality 'reprodux', bevan funnell, breakfront sideboard is a current model.
