Exceptional pair of candlesticks (candelabra) in finely cast solid brass, dating from the mid-19th century (circa 1850-1880). This pair perfectly embodies the Rococo Revival style (Napoleon III period). It is distinguished by its fluid lines and elegant circular base with scalloped contours (rockwork style), topped with a delicately fluted baluster shaft. The original golden patina is superb, providing a very warm light. Manufacturing details & authenticity. Craftsmanship and original structure. A testament to the industrial transition of the mid-19th century, these candlesticks combine the traditional technique of mould casting with precise mechanical finishing. Fully modular, the various brass sections are joined by a central threaded iron rod and its period nut, located beneath the base. Quality assurance. Under one of the candlesticks still lies the original label from the famous Norman house François Bry Antiquités, based in Mortagne-au-Perche (Orne). A true marker of authenticity for antique enthusiasts and collectors. Dimensions: Height: 23.5 cm. Base diameter: 12 cm. Neck diameter (top opening): 3.8 cm (the candle holder then narrows). Weight: 1081 g for both. Condition: In good condition. The original threading is fully functional. There is an authentic patina and slight traces of natural oxidation that testify to their age. Note: slight wax residue may be present, indicating their past use. A superb pair of classic candlesticks, ideal for adding elegance to an interior. Secure packaging.
