Sofa by Hartmut Lohmeyer, Wilkhahn, Germany 1960

Very elegant sofa, from the 400 series, by Hartmut Lohmeyer for Wilkhahn, Germany. One of the most elegant designs of German mid-century modern, here in a version in dark African teak wood, a backrest with a peddig tube braid and a light grey bouclé fabric from the Danish premium manufacturer Kvadrat (Kvadrat Sahco). The sofa has upholstered cushions covered in a very worn and stained fabric. The braiding is original with some small defects and repairs, discolorations and lack of varnish in places.
