This 1970s stainless steel ice bucket with its iconic mechanical lid was designed by anselmo vitale and carlo mazzeri for alessi. It won the macef design award in 1971. It is made of a satin-finished stainless steel and has a removable white plastic inner bowl with holes for drainage. There is a (non-removable) black rubber gasket for tight closure. Alessi has been an italian producer of housewares and kitchen utensils since 1922 and has brought everyday home items to a new level of design and appreciation. Alessi is famous for collaborating with a wide range of important designers to work on their collections. This ice bucket is in great vintage condition and shows only minor signs of usage consistent with its age. Dimensions: Width: 18 cm. Diameter (opening): 12 cm. Height (inside with ice bucket): 10 cm. Total height: 27 cm.
