Very large format print, under anti-UV glass, 100 x 97 cm. Printed using the “glossy lmbd” process. The Chinese artist gu jiuwen, who simultaneously pursues an advertising, editorial and artistic career, likes to merge genres, in a perpetual search for reconciliation between painting and photography. Inhabited by his childhood memories of the Mao years, he created a series of photographic paintings in which his son, a unique model multiplied to infinity, blends into the iconography and settings of his own memory. His work was recognized with the bronze prize of the Chinese National Exhibition in 2009.
