Candlestick candle holder signed Fitzpatrick Forgotten earthenware from Gascony

Here is a pretty white enameled ceramic candlestick whose simple, rounded shape contrasts nicely with the fine hand-painted blue patterns. This candlestick is the work of christiane fitzpatrick (signature below), a ceramicist based in jegun in the gers since 1972 with a few years as a teacher at the international center for training in crafts and ceramics in saint-amand-en-puisaye. It was at the beginning of the 90s that she discovered the forgotten earthenware heritage of the gers and decided to revive it. This candlestick therefore dates from this period, it takes up the codes of traditional gascony earthenware. It is in perfect condition, no cracks or chips. It measures 18 cm in height, 19 cm in width and the base measures 9.5 cm in diameter.
