Ciboure sandstone vase Jorraila series by Rodolphe Fischer

Superb little ciboure sandstone vase from the jorraila series executed by rodolphe fischer around the years 52/55. This signature was used between 1952 and 1977. These basque coins are not very common on the market. The motifs are inspired by the champlevé decorations of the funerary steles observed in the basque museum and the bayonnaise tradition but also in the cemeteries of the surroundings. It measures 11.5cm high and about 12cm wide.
