Motifs of nets, ribbons, lilies, model "Crossed Ribbons" or "Louis XVI to the Queen". This is one of the most elegant and sought-after styles in French silverware, as it combines the rigour of classicism (the nets) with the finesse of the 18th century (the knotted ribbons and the lilies or acanthus). Hallmarks 84 gr and Boulenger, for Adolphe Boulenger, a great silversmith of the 19th century. It is a high-quality silver plating, very durable. This hallmark was inscribed on 23 June 1876 and erased on 9 April 1899. The company was founded in Paris in 1810 by M. Boulenger-Hautin, active until 1938, specialising in table arts. Boulenger was one of the first Parisian silversmiths of the 19th and 20th centuries. He was the main supplier of silverware to the national navy and supplied large liners such as the Normandie. Total weight of the cutlery 1.992 kg. Cutlery set including: - 11 forks (1 missing) - 12 large spoons. Brown leather-style case very worn, white satin interior. (dimensions: length 26 cm X width 24 cm X height 5.5 cm).
