Robin Day Daybed Habitat Edition 1980

Robin day sofa bed, habitat edition 1980 daybed by english designer robin day of habitat editions in the 80s. Hille london had produced it in the 50s. Originally called convertible bed-settee, robin day had designed it for young people living in small spaces. This sofa won the design centre award in 1957. This one was completely restored in 2023: light gray wool fabric from casamance, new foam, new straps, new bed base cover. Very good comfort. Ingenious, the backrest tilts easily backward to obtain a daybed or a permanent bed. It is therefore in very good condition. Some signs of wear on the fabric but quite correct. The structure rests on a black metal base. The armrests are made of teak. They have a discreet patina of time. W 206 cm h 69 cm d 86 cm.
