Large shell dish in silver plated

Superb shell-shaped bowl on a stand, made of silver plated and dating from at least the 1950s or even older. The metal has been meticulously shaped by hand to mimic the organic shape and texture of a seashell. A touch of whimsy has been added with the three legs on the bottom which are shaped like smaller seashells. A wonderful decorative piece that can be used as a jewelry tray, soap dish or as a decorative centerpiece on a console or shelf. Very good vintage condition with noticeable signs of wear and a patina consistent with the age of the piece. Note that the plating has taken on a yellow tint, which is normal as part of silver's natural tarnishing process.
