Earthenware compote dish by Terre de Fer, signed Salins, decorated with a brown stencil of the hummingbird motif, made for the Nouvelles Galeries department store in Paris. Produced between 1920 and 1930, with a geometric Art Deco design and a perfectly crisp central motif. Diameter 24.5 cm – Height 3.5 cm. Condition consistent with its age, glossy surface, stable base. Uses: serving fruit, cakes, desserts, table centerpiece, wall decoration, photo styling. In the center, the hummingbird appears suspended in its flight, like a moment frozen between two wingbeats. €28.
