Champagne Ice Bucket, French Art Nouveau Style Aluminum Wine Cooler

A beautiful French vintage champagne ice bucket with a wonderfully decorative pedestal form. Made from lightweight silver-tone aluminium, it has a softly flared bowl, raised spiral ribbing around the lower body and an elegant fruit and foliage garland around the upper section. The two ornate mascaron-style faces with hanging ring handles give it a particularly striking character, while the engraved botanical decoration continues inside the bowl and around the foot. It has the romantic look of traditional French barware, with the decorative metalwork inspired by the flowing forms of Art Nouveau and the grand style of French entertaining. A lovely piece for a home bar, dining table or wine cellar, and equally beautiful simply displayed as a sculptural decorative object. It is in lovely vintage condition with light signs of use and gentle surface marks/patina, particularly inside, consistent with its age and previous use. No major damage is visible. Bottle and glasses are not included. MEASUREMENTS In inches and pounds: • Height: 7.87 inches. • Diameter: 5.71 inches. • Weight: 0.90 lb.
