Set of 6 Uno chairs in grey leather on tubular chrome cantilevered frames

Designed by paolo deganello and gilberto corretti for archizoom association florence italy, an impressive example of 20th century italian modern style, sophisticated and comfortable. Priced and offered as a set of six only, sensible offers will be considered. Very interesting story behind the chairs. Originally commissioned by citi bank in the 1970’s they were purchased by the current owner in 1984 at auction for use in a fashion house. The original barcoded citibank stickers are still to be found on the underside of the chairs. The original auction price stickers have been removed in preparing the chairs for sale but can be seen in the images with the original auction date and code numbers. The condition of the chairs is consistent with age and use and in excellent condition having been used for the past 50 years. The leather is patinated to varying degrees with some wearing in the corners of the rear panels, edges and armrests as shown. The chrome frames are in excellent condition with original hardware and structurally sound and sturdy. Dimensions: Height: 85cm approx. Width: 56cm approx. Depth: 50cm approx.
