Nordic Shards Textile Sculpture Painting

Nordic Shards is a textile painting-sculpture where relief and movement are born from the magic of pleating. Created through repeated folding, the work combines the inlay of gold thread, acrylic paint, and gold and black ribbons. The pleating punctuates the horizontal lines and brings out abstract images, inviting a visual journey. The undulations, play of light, and bluish hues recall the contemplation of the aurora borealis—a suspended moment, luminous, colorful, and almost magical. This work evokes the fluidity of time, somewhere between fairy tale and dream, where shapes and colors vary according to the viewer's movements and the reflections of the light.
