Cult piece of furniture from the 50s, the wooden sideboard, compass feet. This designer sideboard was created by Roger Hilaire for Maison Malora (Lorraine furniture manufacturer) renowned for the quality of its furniture. It was made in France, it is labeled and bears the “French standard” label. It is in its original condition, in very good condition and extremely well maintained. This magnificent 5-door sideboard with integrated shelves and drawers is mounted on compass legs. The finishes are superb. The interior surfaces are covered with red and green fleece fabrics (cult color of the fifties) which protect the different surfaces. Dimensions: long 231 cm, depth 50.5 cm, height 90 cm. For the record: the Malora company was created in 1921 in Tomplaine (Meurthe et Moselle). In 1949 Roger Hilaire bought 50% of the shares. He learned his trade as a cabinetmaker with his father, a collaborator of the prestigious Majorelle, a big name in art nouveau in Nancy. In 1953 the company became Malora. The company closed its doors in 2011 after multiple market adaptations, office furniture, Paris hospital furniture among others...
