Renovated khaki Art Deco Parisian buffet in beech.
Antique Parisian buffet in beech, fully renovated in my workshop. Its tall and shallow silhouette, typical of small Parisian furniture, is particularly interesting: with only 40 cm in depth, it easily finds its place in a kitchen, dining room, or hallway. The exterior has been painted in a Khaki, a soft and slightly greyed green. Upon opening, the piece reveals a deep and contrasting grey-blue interior. The beech top has been completely sanded to reveal the raw wood, then protected with a clear matte oil that preserves its natural appearance. The two drawers are adorned with a lovely floral pattern in khaki green, blue, and yellow tones. The antique shell handles "La Parfaite," from the Art Deco period, have been sourced specifically for the piece. The central lock, also sourced, is from the Art Deco era. These antique elements add a lot of character to the whole. The buffet is healthy, stable, and solid. The two drawers provide additional storage, and the interior features two fixed shelves. It is worth noting, as is often the case with antique furniture, the presence of a few old woodworm holes at the back and underneath the piece; see the detailed photographs. Dimensions: L 90 × D 40 × H 100 cm Height of the legs: 12 cm Drawers: L 30 × D 28 × H 6 cm Fixed shelves: L 82 × D 30 cm Available heights: 26 / 22 / 27 cm Renovated antique furniture: it retains the small irregularities and traces of its history that are part of its charm. Each piece is sourced, selected, and renovated with care in my workshop. I have been working alone for nearly 10 years and have renovated nearly 1,000 pieces of furniture, with a particular specialisation in antique wardrobes.
