Antique French mirror gilded with gold leaf featuring a crown in the shape of a vase and flowers, circa 1880. This superb antique mirror originates from France, circa 1880, and is topped with a richly adorned crown in the shape of a vase with delicate flowers and foliage. The gilded frame is structurally sound, with a classic "pearl necklace" motif accentuating the inner edge. Subtle touches of red bole appear beneath the gold leaf gilding, adding a warm depth to its rich golden hue as well as to the engravings of flowers and leaves. Retaining its original glass and wooden back, the glass is in very good condition, clear, with only a few small signs of wear that add to its charm.
