Raku cup. After a first firing, the piece is enamelled and annealed more quickly. At the exit of the oven, the piece is enclosed in a basin containing paper, bark or sawdust to complete its cooking. This cooking method makes each piece unique. Historically, raku pottery appeared in japan around the sixteenth century.
