A very rare mid-century chandelier designed by Danish architect T. H. Valentiner

A very rare mid-century chandelier designed by Danish architect T. H. Valentiner for Poul Dinesen in the 1960s. A classic example of simple and elegant Danish modernism. The lamp is made of brass except for the white 'candles', which are plastic. The brass has a lovely patina with age-related wear. The chandelier has been dismantled and cleaned, and completely rewired with the option of grounding at the gallery on the hanging hook. It uses E14 bulb holders (LED bulbs recommended or 25W incandescent). It can be connected to a dimmer switch and used worldwide. This chandelier is fitted with 8 lampshades made in-house at Gallery Sixty One, using cotton with hand-printed flowers designed by Swedish designer Lisbeth Jobs, each with a diameter of 15 cm. The hanging pole will be removed for shipping. Valentiner worked closely with Poul Dinesen, who produced several of his iconic models.
