Extendable dining table – Louis XVI style – Mahogany, leather, brass

Louis XVI style dining table made of solid mahogany and veneer, with a circular top of 110 cm in diameter covered in tawny leather, gilded with a small iron floral motif in the centre and a continuous frieze of scrolls. The top opens to reveal two central extensions in satin mahogany with pronounced grain, bringing the total length to 210 cm. The apron features a continuous brass inlay and gilded metal corner cartouches. The tapered and fluted legs, characteristic of the Louis XVI neoclassical repertoire, are adorned with rings and patinated brass feet. A quality piece made in the tradition of French cabinetmaking, dating from the 1960s/1970s. Restored item, presented in perfect condition. Height under the apron: 65 cm. Total height: 75 cm. Diameter when closed: 110 cm. Maximum opening: 210 cm. Weight: 35 kg.
