St Clément cat pitcher jug

A french majolica glazed absinthe pitcher formed as a sitting cat, st. Clément, circa 1950s-60s. Molded in a true to life furry form, the ears front the top opening of the jug and the open mouth forms the spout. The handle is shaped as the cat’s tail. ( molded after no. 7486, book reference: bottero, pitchet en barbotine, pg. 43 and cunningham, majolica figures, pg. 97 ) Dimensions. Height: 10.0 in. (25.4 cm) Width: 3.5 in. (8.89 cm) Depth: 6.5 in. (16.51 cm).
