Louis XVI style solid mahogany and bronze flat desk, 19th century

Magnificent flat desk in solid mahogany and gilded bronze in the Louis XVI style. Late 19th century. This elegant flat desk is decorated with two retractable side writing tablets covered with an intact green leather top (53 cm long / 35 cm wide). It offers you 4 drawers with beautiful dimensions in the belt. On your left 2 drawers with identical dimensions, a large central drawer, then on the right a large deep drawer giving the illusion on the front that there are two. The back face is decorated with dummy drawers. The desk with rounded corners is covered with a green leather top decorated with slightly worn gilded threads, adds a touch of authenticity. See photo. Key present and functional. It rests on a tapered base with fluting ringed with gilded bronze and ending with small bronze shoes. Perfect stability. Height under belt: 62 cm.
