Compote dish with fluted edges in ironstone from the Clairfontaine pottery, 1889-90. Tiny manufacturing events add to the almost matte delicacy of this rare piece in chestnut colours. The famous decoration is called Batavia. Dense and heavy object. Large format and incredible charm. Diameter 27cm. Height 22.5cm.
