Description
This stoneware vase signed Louis Dage is distinguished by a magnificent blue and green "marbled" enameled decoration reminiscent of impressionism. Gold stripe on the lip and 3 thin gold lines under the lip and just above the base. Signature l. Dage in gold. Louis Dage (1885-1961) is a great figure in art deco ceramics. This vase is attributable to the production made at Antony between 1922 and 1935. "Marbled" backgrounds are common in Louis Dage's productions but this vase with a blue-green effect without superimposed floral decoration is extremely rare. Excellent condition with no gaps or cracks. Personal delivery possible in Paris (to be discussed before purchase).
