This pair of antique lamps have been gently cleaned while respecting the aged patina. They are newly rewired, earthed, pat tested by an electrician and ready to use. Each has the following new components: lamp holder with a cream card cover, gold silk cable, white cord switch, white plug (uk plug up to 250v) & clip on silk lampshade.lightbulbs included. These lamps can be used with a dimmer. It is possible to use these lights in other countries with a light bulb suitable to local electricity. Presented here is a fine petite pair of antique 19th century regency candlesticks made in england around the 1830`s converted into lamps. These lamps are in the style of the earlier english regency period, with several design features present: the idyllic & naive interpretation of nature & animal themes, neoclassical features, elegant delicate proportions, and good weight. Both candlesticks started as a pair and were individually quality cast. Engraved with great attention to detail & finished by hand, resulting in small variations in design & proportions with slight angled sconces, all signs of authentic 19th century antique pieces. Both lamps are finished with quality new clip-on cream silk candle lampshades. Very good condition for their age. The frames are sound with no damages or broken parts. The metal surfaces overall are in very good condition with the original antique patina preserved. There are minor subtle superficial marks & rubbing, this effect is uniform adding character & depth, in line with age.
