This is an original solid oak child’s desk from the 1930’s. It was designed by the Jerry Furniture Company in America and was sold by Karel Vagner Furniture store in Brno (who gained exclusive licence for the Jerry desks and tables) in former Czechoslovakia. This piece has got four adjustable drawers on the left side that are covered by a sliding wooden roller blind. The right side of the desk is left open seating space, with gently curved wood and an expressive oak pattern just underneath the table top on the front side. There is a lovely detail of three slender rods that sit between the main support of the table legs. This desk has also a solid wooden back, which exemplifies the quality of the piece and has the added bonus of versatility, as the desk can be used anywhere within a space. This desk is in great vintage condition with only minimal wear wear and tear. Recent restoration has fully revived the rich colour of the entire piece, showing off the beautiful oakwood patterns on all surfaces. There are some small marks and wear on the wood inside of the drawers.
