Description
Shabby chic devil, this very old toilet set iron earth of the late nineteenth century, is composed of a pansu pitcher and a deep bowl. It is not signed but could come from the manufacture of sarreguemines, gien or creil. The pieces are in fine earthenware whose monochrome decoration in shades of crimson pink is remarkable finesse. The floral motifs printed by transfer are fleshed out, delicate. They represent hawthorns, open and in button. Precision and attention to detail are pushed to the handle of the richly trimmed pitcher. We imagine very well this set copying with the wear and patina of an antique piece of furniture. Both pieces bear marks of time, including cracks and a chip for the bowl (below see photos). But they remain waterproof and retain a very nice visual. Pitcher. Height: 17 cm. Diameter: 13 cm. Basin. Height: 12 cm. Diameter: 37.5 cm. Weight of the set: 3 kg.
