Large ceramic dish by Pol Chambost, France 1955

Very large dish by the french ceramist and sculptor pol chambost, one of the first great ceramists of the 20th century in france whose influence was major in the 1950s and from whom many talents were subsequently trained. This large sheet of white earthenware black enameled with metallic reflections and milky white interior is a rare example of the artist's work in the 1950s and exceptional for its size marked on the reverse 25 and made in france. Circa 1955.
