We are incredibly proud to present a magnificent and robust two-tier occasional table from the 1930s. This piece is the true quintessence of European Art Deco craftsmanship, blending monumental architectural forms with the celebration of luxurious natural materials. DESIGN AND EXCEPTIONAL WOODWORK The absolute highlight of this piece is its main tabletop. The craftsman utilized premium walnut burl veneer, arranging it in a highly demanding radial match (often called a sunburst or star pattern). The rich, swirling wood grains converge flawlessly in the center, creating a symmetrical, three-dimensional image that beautifully reflects the light. The table makes a striking impression with its solid build. The top is encircled by a massive, rounded, and vertically veneered apron that gives the piece visual weight. The entire structure rests on four sturdy, profiled legs, connected by a highly practical circular lower shelf, which is also beautifully veneered. VERSATILE PROPORTIONS With a height of 74 cm, this piece is taller than a standard modern coffee table—it is the height of a standard dining table. This makes it incredibly versatile. It serves perfectly as an intimate cafe table for two, a sophisticated side table next to a high-back reading armchair, or a striking pedestal for a large sculpture in an entryway. RESTORATION AND FINISH The table has been completely and professionally restored in our specialized workshop. All old, degraded varnishes were meticulously stripped down to the bare wood. The entire piece was treated with premium hard wax oil. This modern, high-end treatment provides a natural, satin-matte touch that highlights the depth of the wood grain. Most importantly, it makes the table highly resistant to water, alcohol, and heat. DIMENSIONS Total Diameter (including outer rim): 80 cm. Top Surface Diameter: 74 cm. Lower Shelf Diameter: 65 cm.
