Modern live edge console, Japanese-inspired entrance furniture in solid wood

This large console table is perfect for highlighting your entrance in a modern, contemporary or minimalist style house/apartment. The black legs are made of mass-dyed oak with a satin finish. The walnut top is finished with an “invisible” natural varnish which preserves all the character of the wood. Inspired by japanese torii*, this piece of furniture takes up their clean lines and highlights a live edge top. *(traditional gate erected at the entrance to shinto shrines) inserts, in a darker wood, have been added to recall the geometry of the whole. It is an alternative to the use of epoxy, which avoids mixing wood and plastic.
