Richard Schultz designed the 1966 collection at the request of Florence Knoll, who wanted well-designed outdoor furniture that would resist corrosion from salt air for his Florida home. Over the years, the 1966 collection has earned a special place in the world of outdoor furniture and is now considered an icon of outdoor furniture.
