Ceramic bowl — Jacques Breugnot, Bonny-sur-Loire factory Beautiful ceramic bowl signed by Jacques Breugnot, a ceramicist who became known in the 1940s by taking over the family Brisdoux factory in Bonny-sur-Loire (Loiret). The dish, with a wide flared rim, rests on three golden ball feet. Its interior decoration, of great finesse, features a radiant geometric composition in the shape of a multi-pointed star, where golden diamonds, finely drawn white chevrons, and almond green dots intersect, surrounding a deep green speckled central medallion. The outer border, with a deliberately irregular grainy texture, is enhanced by a golden thread running all around, echoing the interior decoration. This work perfectly corresponds to the aesthetic signature of the workshop. His work is characterised by lustrous glazes (notably gold and platinum), combining technical mastery of high firing and graphic refinement inherited from the Brisdoux style.
