Set of two Congo chairs by Theo Ruth for Artifort, 1960

Set of two very beautiful Congo chairs by Theo Ruth for Artifort. The armchairs are inspired by the two-piece chairs from Africa, which is why the models are also called Congo. Theo Ruth designed these chairs so that the seat and backrest can be hooked together for a good seat. These armchairs with beautiful round shapes are timeless and fit into any interior. The chairs are 80 cm high, 52 cm wide and 72 cm deep in total. They have a seat height of 37 cm. The armchairs are in very good vintage condition. The woodwork has minimal user wear and is otherwise completely intact. The chair has been reupholstered in a high-quality mustard green De Ploeg fabric from the Atlas line.
