Sold without bulbs (has standard e26/e27 socket) Packed securely and sent with insurance. Teknika is a much overlooked danish lighting brand and their lamps are often attributed to other manufacturers. The following tells a little about the company: Teknika was founded in 1943. During the second world war by erik jensen, who by chance had the opportunity to buy aluminium tubes and got the idea to produce bicycle pumps, which were in short supply. After the liberation in 1945, erik jensen again had the opportunity to buy metal tubes - this time also in brass, copper etc. And decided to start producing lighting. This would become the basis for a significant production for the next 2 decades. In 1971, several miscalculations and the oil crisis put an end to teknika. The company had large credits with handelsbanken and the bank decided to redeem the credits and teknika was declared bankrupt.
