Cassina Moncloud sofa designed by Patricia Urquiola and manufactured in Italy by Cassina, one of the most important names in contemporary Italian furniture design. Introduced as part of Cassina’s 2023 collection, Moncloud combines Italian craftsmanship, innovative engineering and Urquiola’s unmistakably sculptural approach to comfort. This large four-seat modular composition was purchased new and has been kept in excellent condition in a private home. No Children, No Pets, and Smoke-free environment. The Moncloud’s beauty is in the way it appears almost weightless despite its generous proportions. A slim wooden base lifts the sofa from the floor, while the sculptural back and armrests are built around a lightweight metal structure wrapped in soft, quilted recycled PET fibre. The result is a sofa that feels enveloping, relaxed and architectural at the same time. The cushioning is one of Moncloud’s most distinctive innovations. Rather than relying on dense conventional foam, Cassina uses generous layers of recycled PET fibre, combined with a variable-density CIRCULARREFOAM® insert and elastic webbing beneath the seat. The feel is soft, yielding and cocooning, but still supported — almost duvet-like through the back and arms, with a more structured softness through the seat. The sofa is upholstered in Cassina Fox 13FF06 “Biscotto”, a warm neutral fabric composed of 80% recycled polyester and 20% recycled cotton, with the base finished in Marron Glacé LO 527 lacquer. Configuration: Four-seater composition with two seats, connecting ottoman and chaise longue. Overall dimensions: 400 cm wide × 102 cm standard depth / 170 cm chaise depth × 82 cm high.
