Bronze stand signed Alph. Giroux Paris and dated 1871

COD 10867. Large French cake stand dated 1871. Object for antique dealers and collectors, with Alph stamp on the base. Giroux Paris (see photo) referable to Alphonse Giroux (1776-1848) and signature on the plate Baujault 1871 (see photo) referable to the sculptor Jean-Baptiste Baujault (1828-1899). Stand in bronze, brass and chiselled and gilded metal with head of Bacchus holding plate and base in red marble with a small chip (see photo). In the center of the plate is represented the head of a mythological figure, a profile of a faun with ram's horns (see photo). Antique object of great quality, finished from the center, of a nice size and pleasant decor. Stand in good condition and beautiful patina.
