Description
Pritzker prize-winning architect arata isozaki is known for his unique approach to architecture, which is difficult to describe as he has always resisted the temptation to apply a distinctive style to his work, preferring to create architectural solutions specific to the client's social, political and cultural contexts. Famous buildings include the mito art tower in japan, the domus, a science museum in spain, the shenzhen library in china, and many other breathtaking buildings. The marylin chair, also known as the monroe chair, was designed in 1985 for japanese manufacturer tendo mokko. The chair was originally created for the executive offices of a japanese bank and is a double tribute to the rigidity of charles rennie mackintosh's furniture and the curves of actress marylin monroe.
