Writing machine "valentine" olivetti by ettore sottsass year 1969. In 1969, ettore sottsass, assisted by perry a. King, designed the red valentine typewriter, considered one of the defining creations of 20th century design. A light machine and transportable in a briefcase, it seduces with its playful aspect, inspired by pop art. Sotssas continued his creative work on iconic electronic products for olivetti until 1980. Otherwise known as architect and co-founder of the memphis collective of the early 1980s, as well as creators of beautiful objects in glass, ceramics, furniture... Several times winner of the prestigious "compasso d'or" one of the most influential and oldest international product design awards, this great architect and designer left us in 2007.
