Standard jielde workshop lamp 2 arms. Arm, base, vice clamp, socket holder and joints in cast aluminum and green lacquered steel vespa. Round reflector in vespa green lacquered steel on the outside and white on the inside. Elastomeric coated reflector gripper. Specific wireless joints via corrugated copper washers and plastic discs. Original jielde plate riveted to the reflector. E27 ceramic socket, power 100 watts. Stainless steel water drop switch integrated into the socket holder. Dimensions: arm 40 cm; reflector diameter 15 cm. Weight: 2.3 kg. Manufacturer: jielde, lyon. Production period: 1960s. The jielde lamp was invented by jean-louis domecq, a mechanic by trade. It takes its name from the initials of its inventor j-l.d. The jielde lamp is an articulated lamp whose simple and refined shape is instantly recognizable, a guarantee of its timeless design. Very efficient and still among the most robust today, it is suitable for all positions and working conditions. The absence of wire in the joints, whose patent was definitively filed in 1955, allows a great modularity and avoids any wear. It was a real technical feat for the time, unmatched for nearly 50 years. Lamp restored while preserving its history and its original patina: original patinated paint, set having been totally dismantled / cleaned / treated / reassembled and adjusted, new electrical wiring composed of a black elastomeric round cable 3 X 0.75 mm². Superb condition and patina witness of its industrial past. See photos.
